During your visit, we’ll complete the following:
- Review of your dental and medical history
- Digital X-rays as needed (see below for more details)
- Comprehensive dental exam
- Professional dental cleaning, if appropriate for your needs
- Discussion of a customized treatment plan
- Time to answer any questions or concerns you may have

Radiographs and Diagnostic Imaging
At Ray Dental, we believe in evidence-based care and only recommend dental X-rays when they are necessary. Not every patient needs X-rays every year. In most cases, our maximum frequency is every two years—unless a specific concern requires more frequent monitoring.
During your first appointment, we’ll place you on an individualized diagnostic schedule based on your oral health status, risk factors, and age. This ensures you’re only receiving the imaging needed to support safe, effective care.

To make your visit as efficient as possible, we encourage all patients to complete their paperwork prior to arrival. This allows our team to better understand your medical background, previous dental treatments, and specific concerns or goals.

Insurance & Payment Options
Ray Dental is a fee-for-service practice, which means we are not in-network with any dental insurance providers. However, we are happy to file claims on your behalf and help you receive out-of-network reimbursement from your dental insurance company.
